What types of lifting slings are there
Lifting slings are rigging slings woven from synthetic fiber materials. They are much lighter than metal wire rope slings at the same load capacity. They are mainly divided into two types: flat slings and flexible slings. The difference between these two types is that they have different structures. In terms of use, the rated load of the flat belt is smaller and the flexibility is larger. It can be used for large-tonnage large-scale industrial hoisting.
The above are just two major categories. These two types of lifting ropes can be further divided into three types. Different manufacturers have different model identifications. These three types are:
- Circular sling: that is, the entire belt is a closed structure
- With double buckles: Eyelets are sewn at both ends of the belt to facilitate hooking on hooks and other lifting points.
- Those with eyelets and leather straps: An extra layer of strap leather will be sewn on the belt body to distinguish it from its own color.
Regarding the above three subdivision types, generally based on experience and frequency of use, flat slings mostly use EB-type double buckles, and flexible slings mostly use EA round and EA-A sheathed eye slings.
In addition to these differences, the flat type also extends a white sling, which is separated from the colored one into another type. This type is mainly used in acid and alkali corrosive environments, while other types are used in conventional environments.

However, it should be noted that white The acid and alkali resistance is cheap, but the strength is not as high as other types, so sometimes it cannot meet the load capacity requirement.
